Watkins isn’t the only high profile star Al Hilal are keen on as they are also targeting an ambitious move for England team-mate Harry Kane. Kane, 33, has been subject of interest from a host of clubs across Europe this summer, but Bayern Munich are offering fresh terms. Spanish champions Barcelona expressed serious interest, while Inter Milan and AC Milan in Italy were also keen. Officials from the Saudi club have met with Kane’s representatives this summer, but a move to the Middle East is deemed incredibly unlikely this summer. Kane scored 73 goals for club and country last season and is the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or this year. Kane is Bayern’s joint-top earner, alongside Jamal Musiala, with each banking around £21.5million per year. His contract expires at the end of this season, with the new terms on offer expected to be a two-year extension. Kane has won two Bundesliga titles, a German Cup and has been the top scorer in the German top flight in each of the last three season. However, Vincent Kompany‘s side fell short in the Champions League once again last season, losing to Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final. A move for a forward hinges on Malcom, the former Barcelona winger, departing.
