AirBaltic Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection as Financial Pressures Mount

Latvia’s AirBaltic has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S., giving the struggling airline court protection from creditors as it seeks to restructure its debt and secure its future. The airline filed Monday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, according to court documents. It said flights will continue as scheduled throughout the process, with tickets, reservations and customer service unaffected. The airline expects the process to take until around June 2027.
