It was announced in May that the BBC won a competitive bid to adapt a new television show focused on the seminal detective Hercule Poirot, with the show potentially running for three seasons and due to be released in late 2027. This was followed by the news that Edward Bluemel had been cast in the BBC's upcoming Hercule series. The actor, whose previous credits include Killing Eve and Sex Education, will make history as the youngest actor to play Agatha Christie's iconic detective at 33 years old. Variety has now revealed the first official image of Edward Blumel as Poirot in the upcoming BBC adaptation.
