Two Afghan migrants raped and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old autistic girl on a train while commuters 'stared at their phones', a court has heard. Baryalai Rahimi, 25, and Mirebadurahman Sadat, 29, are said to have spotted the runaway teenager at a station in rural Kent before following her onto the London-bound train on February 5.Rahimi, of Southall, west London, and Sadat, of Cricklewood, north-west London, deny a total of 20 charges including multiple counts of sexual activity with a child.Jurors earlier heard that Rahimi raped the girl three times inside the train toilets. Sadat is said to have assaulted the girl twice. The teenager's police interview was played in Inner London Crown Court, in which she was asked what the passengers onboard the Southeastern service were doing. She replied: 'No one was really looking at us. Everyone was just on their phones.'Jurors were shown CCTV footage showing Rahimi brush past several commuters as he led the girl to a toilet cubicle, where she was allegedly raped three times. The girl earlier said Rahimi had 'laughed' when she told him she was 14. She told the court: 'I didn't know how to say no'. She told police: 'At the start I thought he was being nice, but then he kept saying it. I thought, you're getting a bit too much now.'She said Rahimi, who called himself 'Sandine', tried to lure her somewhere else while they waited for the train before forcibly kissing her anyway. She described Rahimi putting his arms around her and kissing her on the mouth, saying: 'He was standing over me, and I was trying to say no. 'I felt like the kiss was a bit much.'Asked by officers whether she wanted him to put his arms around her, she replied: 'Not really,' adding she had never seen either of the men before. She said: 'When he started getting a bit touchy I was a bit scared, but I don't like to show people I'm scared, because obviously I like to be a nice person to everyone.'The girl said Rahimi asked her to sit on his lap five minutes into the train journey.Asked why she did so, she replied: 'I don't know. It's a bit hard for me to say no to men. He's bigger than me, stronger, and I can't do anything. 'I just like to do what people want so it keeps me out of a dangerous situation.'Asked what she thought might happen if she refused, the girl said: 'They get mad. They might hurt me.'She said Rahimi kissed and sexually assaulted her while she sat on his lap, adding: 'He didn't ask if he could touch me or kiss me.'I didn't know how to say no so I was just sitting there letting him do it.'When the officers asked the girl to explain her understanding of consent, she said: 'Two people wanting to do it.'She said she had not wanted the sexual touching, adding: 'Obviously if I say no it's going to put me at risk and I'll end up getting hurt, so I can't really say no.'The girl said when Rahimi suggested going to the toilet, 'I was trying to tell him no', and described becoming upset during the alleged assault because it 'really, really hurt'. Following the assault, the girl said Rahimi then washed his hands and told her to wait in the toilets for two minutes before following him out.She said Rahimi apologised before raping her again, telling police: 'He done front sex with me,' before leaving her with Sadat, who allegedly assaulted her.The girl said Rahimi had said of Sadat: 'We share everything. We share girls, we share drinks.'She said Sadat then tried to persuade her to enter the toilet with him, but told police: 'I was shaking my head saying no because obviously I didn't want to go.'CCTV played in court earlier shows the girl entering the toilet alone before Sadat followed her to the cubicle, where he tried to open the door without success.Following their arrest, Rahimi gave a prepared interview, claiming: 'I asked the female her age and she told me she was 17 years old. 'She looked 17 to 18 years old, so I believed her. The female was the one who was very forward. What happened was all started and instigated by her and was consensual.'Sadat said in a prepared statement: 'Although I have some memory issues, I did not do what I am accused of. I deny these offences.'Rahimi denies three counts of rape, two of sexual assault, one of assault by penetration and six alternative counts of sexual activity with a child.Sadat denies two counts of assault by penetration, two of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent and four alternative counts of sexual activity with a child. The trial continues and is expected to last three weeks.
