Afghan ‘changed his behaviour after birth of child’ as ‘revolted’ wife ‘believes he killed Brit’ found in suitcase

THE Afghan migrant accused of killing a Brit aid worker underwent a sudden behaviour shift after the birth of his child, police sources told The Sun. Her testimony was very credible and very helpful.” Kalliakmanis confirmed that the American did not want to see the Afghan. He said: “She’s in a state of confusion which is perfectly understandable after all she’s the mother of his child.” Police sources also told The Sun that suspect had “noticeably” changed his behaviour since the birth of their child. The Afghan also confessed to withdrawing more than 10,000 euros with her credit cards. Ahmadzai has insisted that she was dead when he found Elisabeth, known as Lisa, in the apartment’s bathroom. The Christian convert had keys to the flat because it was used as a regular meeting spot for Love Every Nation, the NGO that he set up with his wife. Alaina, a devout evangelical Christian, played a key role in the arrest of her husband. After a homeless man discovered Lisa’s body on July 18, authorities got to work identifying her. She was publicly named 11 days later, after which Alaina began connecting the dots. Alaina became suspicious of Ahmadzai’s big spending in the fortnight between Lisa’s death – believed to have happened on July 15 – and her discovery. She refused the items and later handed them over to police. On July 15, Alaina says she saw a text message sent from Lisa to her husband which read: “Thank you for your intention to come with me.” The messages could be related to Lisa handing out bibles to those in need. Earlier that day, Ahmadzai had reportedly agreed to give a helping hand, but had also become disillusioned with the religion in recent months. That night, Alaina claimed in her testimony that she woke up and found her husband had left their home without any warning. She said: “I checked his location on my cell phone. I saw that he was inside [Lisa’s rental] apartment on Rethymno Street. “I was surprised because there was no particular reason for him to be there at that time.” Ahmadzai married Alaina in 2023 He fled Afghanistan for Greece in 2016 Later that night, Alaina claimed in her testimony that she woke up and found her husband had left their home without any warning. She said: “I checked his location on my cell phone. I saw that he was inside the apartment on Rethymno Street. “I was surprised because there was no particular reason for him to be there at that time.” Ahmadzai looks set to spend at least the next 18 months in Korydallos prison – which is said to be rife with disease – as he awaits trial. Elisabeth’s devastated family paid tribute to her on Thursday – describing her as “kind, principled and selfless”. They said: “Her integrity was absolute, and she dedicated her life to helping others in need. “We are in deep pain, and we ask for time and privacy as we come to terms with our loss.” Comment now
