Adryan Cole commits to Georgia

Adryan Cole is finally a Bulldog. The Rivals300 safety, ranked No. 158 overall and No. 12 at his position, has committed to Georgia. Cole chose the Bulldogs over LSU, Florida, Ole Miss, Ohio State, and others. “Really, that’s where I felt most comfortable at, you know, me and my family as a whole,” Cole told UGASports last month. “I feel like I can honestly see myself playing in that scheme and everything, on that field, in Sanford Stadium.” Georgia sees the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Cole fitting in as a safety or star in Athens. The development of in-state defensive backs under head coach Kirby Smart played a major role in Cole’s decision. “It’s honestly a blessing, because, you know, Kirby never fails to get somebody to the league,” Cole said earlier this year. “He played safety at Georgia, so, you know, there’s no doubt in his mind that he wouldn’t want an in-state kid to play.” Cole has made double-digit visits to Athens throughout his recruitment. One of the more recent trips came for the annual Scavenger Hunt event back in May. That visit allowed him to further strengthen his relationships with his future position coaches, safeties coach Travaris Robinson and nickels coach Andrew Thacker. “You really got to see their personalities outside of football,” Cole told UGASports. “They kept everything competitive, but fun at the same time. Just being around them showed me how genuine they are and how much they care about building relationships with players, not just coaching football.” Cole is the first defensive back in Georgia’s 2027 class. He is the fourth top-100 overall prospect in the 2027 Rivals300, joining running back Kemon Spell, tight end Jaxon Dollar, and linebacker Joakim Gouda.
