Adéla Announces Debut Album Prima: Hear “Ain’t In LA”

In 2023, Adéla rose to prominence through The Debut: Dream Academy, the talent competition reality show that spawned K-Pop titans KATSEYE. So far this year, the Slovakian singer has shared "KGB" and "Red Bottoms," both of which boast pop star appeal and high-profile collaborators like 100 Gecs' Dylan Brady. Now, she's announcing her debut album Prima, arriving this fall.The new single "Ain't In LA" is out today, and it has the catchy, zany texture of Miley Cyrus' best hits. The song is inspired by photographs of her mother she came across, where she was posing before a wall plastered with pop culture imagery. "My grandfather smuggled the posters in from Germany," she says. "It made me think, 'There are so many beautiful girls with dreams who will never get their flowers like my mom.' I wrote this for her and the billion other bitches who are probably cooler than me.""I want this album to sound exactly like a 22-year-old girl," she continues of Prima, which is executive-produced by Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin. "I tried to express both sides. I mixed the hard with the soft, the vulnerable with the swag of it all, the muscular beats with the feminine energy.
