Blood is about to be spilled on the Cobbles. The brawlers in question? Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and his uncle Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). These bickering Barlows have never seen eye to eye. After all, they’re like chalk and cheese. Adam is a shrewd and impulsive lawyer with a vengeful streak, hot temper and hidden vulnerability, whereas Daniel is a shrewd and impulsive teacher with a vengeful streak, hot temper and hidden vulnerability. You can see the conflict. Best of friends, really. (Picture: ITV) And boy, has there been conflict. They’ve clashed on everything from Who Attacked Ken Barlow (William Roache) back in 2017, to the way Daniel parents his son Bertie and various family dramas and secrets. The most recent bone of contention between the pair centres around Adam’s partner Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and her nefarious uncle Idris Nazir (Junade Khan). The ruthless businessman has been carving up Weatherfield businesses to form his own personal property empire. Idris has been roping Alya into his hostile takeover plans.
