Actor Sangeeth Shoban is set to headline another Telugu film, this time opposite Anaswara Rajan. At the film’s launch event, the makers unveiled the title through a video teaser, introducing the project as Antha Ramuloru Choosukuntaru.Speaking at the launch, the team revealed that the film is set against the backdrop of the Godavari region and was shot around Rajahmundry and Konaseema. Sangeeth plays Maruthi, a character who leaves everything to God and lives by the belief that "Ramuloru will take care of everything." Describing the film at the event, the actor said it is more than a love story and promised a feel-good narrative with several emotional layers. He added that Maruthi is a character who could make audiences laugh, cry, feel sorry for him and even get frustrated with his choices.Anaswara plays Shirisha, with director Palnati Surya Pratap highlighting the realistic chemistry between the lead pair during the launch. Producer Dheeraj Mogilineni revealed that the team spent six months pursuing Anaswara for the role and felt that nobody else could play Shirisha.Directed by Palnati Surya Pratap and written by Lakshmi Bhupal, the film is produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Giribabu Vallabhaneni under Dheeraj Mogilineni and VGB Entertainment. Speaking at the event, Surya Pratap said the story does not use the exact Godavari dialect but features a variation of the slang. He also revealed that the title has a specific concept behind it and was not chosen randomly. For Sangeeth, the film also marks a deliberate change from his recent choices. At the launch, the actor said that after MAD, MAD Square and Raakasa, he wanted to move away from the Telangana dialect that featured in many of his films. He cited the Godavari setting and the emotional depth of Maruthi’s character as some of the reasons he chose this project. Shooting is currently underway, with portions still left to be completed. Sangeeth Shoban was last seen in the Telugu fantasy horror-thriller Raakaasa, which hit theatres on April 3, 2026.
