Actor Randeep Hooda visited flood-ravaged Sivasagar in Upper Assam to join relief efforts and stand in solidarity with affected families. Hooda appreciated the efforts of the volunteers and encouraged them to continue serving those in need. His visit brought encouragement to many flood-affected families and drew national attention to the ongoing humanitarian situation in Upper Assam.The recent monsoon deluge in Assam has severely impacted nearly 1.92 lakh people across Upper Assam districts, including Sivasagar, Charaideo, Golaghat, Jorhat, and Nagaon, with the state's death toll reaching 82. Major rivers like the Dikhow and Dhansiri remain above danger levels. Over 13,000 displaced residents are housed in relief camps, while rescue agencies and volunteers have joined ground-level humanitarian operations to distribute essential aid. Floods continued to affect five districts in Assam on Saturday, with 1,92,799 people still hit by the situation and two more deaths taking this year's toll to 82, officials said.Recently, actor Adil Hussain expressed anger and frustration over the flood situation in his home state. He said the recurring crisis has left him feeling "frustrated, angry, sad and depressed."Hussain revealed that the crisis had also hit his family. "My sister's daughters, my nieces and their respective husbands have their houses filled with water in upper Assam's Sivasagar.
