Actor Pradeep Rawat's final rites: Ashoke Pandit, Raj Arjun and others pay respect

Actor Pradeep Rawat's last rites were held in Mumbai on August 5, with several members of the film industry attending to pay their final respects. Among those present were Ashoke Pandit, Akhilendra Mishra, Raj Arjun, Karan V Grover, Surendra Pal and Ruhanika Dhawan, among others.Rawat died at the age of 74 on Tuesday evening at a hospital in Bhiwandi after battling blood cancer. His Lagaan co-actor Yashpal Sharma confirmed his death, while the All Indian Cine Workers Association also issued a statement mourning his death.Photos from the gathering showed Rawat's family and colleagues at the venue during the final rites. With his powerful screen presence, he portrayed some of the most unforgettable villainous characters alongside many of Bollywood's legendary comedians and actors. His remarkable performances and immense contribution to Indian cinema will always be remembered and cherished by generations of film lovers (sic)."Career and familyRawat was known for his work in films such as Ghajini, Lagaan and Sarfarosh and for playing Ashwatthama in B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat.
