Abandoned Beefeater is being turned into a £1million Wetherspoons – and it’s opening in just weeks

The brand new Spoons is preparing to open its doors to customers on September 16. JD Wetherspoon snapped up the Beefeater branch after it was announced that it was set to close back in May. Beefeater owners, Whitbread, who also own Premier Inn, confirmed that it would be closing multiple restaurants as part of a wider restructure. The pub revival will create 50 jobs for the area and will welcome families until 9pm – with Wetherspoons’ signature pub food set to be served until 11pm. It’s thought the pub will be permitted to serve alcohol from 8am to 12:30am fron Sunday to Wednesday. Alcohol will be served later on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with drinks on offer until 1am. Most read in Money There will also be a spacious beer garden situated at the front of the pub, where pub-goers can enjoy affordable beers, wine, ales, spirits and more. Rob Stephens, who is set to be manager of The Cranbourne Hundred, told the Bournemouth Echo: “Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers into The Cranborne Hundred and we are confident that the pub will be a great addition to the local social scene.” Comment now
