Aaron Tveit Joins Angourie Rice & Jane Krakowski In Coming-Of-Age Drama ‘Nice Eggs’

EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Tveit, the Tony Award winner of Moulin Rouge! The Musical fame, has wrapped the male lead role opposite Jane Krakowski and Angourie Rice in Nice Eggs, the indie coming-of-age drama that we scooped in August. Marking the narrative feature directorial debut of Amanda Lipitz, Nice Eggs watches as a young woman (Rice) comes of age by overcoming a turbulent relationship with her loving but erratic mother (Krakowski), fighting to end a generational cycle of broken relationships to find her own voice. Tveit plays Marty, a handsome divorcee from Queens who’s made good as a corporate attorney. Marty meets Rice’s Cori on a blind date and offers her stability and assuredness, though he’s adamantly against having kids. Watch on Deadline Sandi Farkas penned the script for Nice Eggs. Henry Tisch and Amanda Lipitz are producing for Key to the City Productions, alongside Diane Nabatoff (Narc, Take the Lead), Tory Metzger and Farkas. Tveit, who originated the role of Christian in Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical, most recently appeared on Broadway in the revival of musical Chess opposite Lea Michele and Nicholas Christopher. The actor’s screen credits include the Academy Award-nominated Les Misérables, USA Network’s Graceland, CBS’s Braindead, Apple TV+’s Schmigadoon!, FX’s American Horror Story and the Emmy-winning TV musical Grease: Live!, where he starred as Danny Zuko.
