A supposed GTA 6 build is going around the internet, but don't be fooled: it's fake and full of malware

When news broke that a leaker had gotten their hands on a full, working copy of GTA 6, people started to ask questions. Of course, malware developers jumped at the chance to fool people into thinking that there really is a GTA 6 build floating around the internet. There's reportedly a fake build of GTA 6 making the rounds, and while it doesn't seem to contain any code from Rockstar's game, it does come with malware. According to them, this fake build is being uploaded to torrent sites with a file size of 113 GB. Someone else reverse-engineered the files to check whether it was authentic, and not only is the build fake, but it also contains malware. The tells for this one were pretty big, as I'd wager that squeezing GTA 6 down into a 113 GB build would be bordering on an engineering miracle. GTA 5 needed around 100 GB, and GTA 6 is rumored to be a lot bigger. Even so, it's a good idea to treat any and all claims of a leaked GTA 6 build as fake and malicious, as virus developers aim to capitalise on the hype to infect people's PCs.
