A Plane Crashed Into A Cornfield With 4 People Aboard—3 Skydivers Parachuted In To Save Them

Four people were aboard a small plane that crashed into a Wisconsin cornfield Sunday afternoon. A pilot overhead spotted the wreckage. He had skydivers aboard, and offered to drop help right beside it. Three emergency medical technicians parachuted down to assist. The field was difficult to reach from the road but they could get there from the air. “If possible, I can drop, uh, a load of skydivers right over ’em to, uh, potentially help aid.” The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 27 south of East Troy Municipal Airport in Wisconsin. The aircraft was a 1961 Beechcraft 35-A33 Debonair registration N1288Z. A Cessna Caravan carrying skydivers was already in the area. Its pilot called Milwaukee Approach: “I have a plane crash just south of East Troy.” “It’s your discretion if you want to drop jumpers over the area. This was incredible luck for the people crashed in the cornfield. There happened to be an aircraft overhead had spotted them, that knew how to reach them and knew how to provide medical help. They changed their landing site to assist in an emergency. Heroes.
