A judge just ended the Feister brothers' season — and possibly Brayton's entire high school career

All six received temporary injunctions to play in Week 6. The OHSAA then cleared junior tight end Da’Shun Williams, who transferred from Euclid, but determined the Feister brothers to be ineligible.The other three players — junior tackle Micah Walker, who came in from Nordonia, and sophomores Gary Yeager III and Dey’Veair Adams of St. Vincent-St. Mary — had their appeals separated from the Feister brothers by the judge. Those three have had their TROs extended to remain eligible for Friday night’s game against Cornerstone Christian (4-2), which is visiting Massillon (7-0) — the No. 1-ranked team in cleveland.com’s Northeast Ohio Top 25 and statewide Ohio Big 25 — from San Antonio.The Feisters will not be a part of that game after holding out hope to gain at least another TRO.For Brayton Feister, it likely means the end of a memorable high school career that saw him rush for 2,000 yards as a sophomore at Hoban and grow into a four-star college prospect at linebacker. He committed this summer to Oregon, while junior Brydon Feister has developed in similar fashion as an edge rusher. His long list of scholarship offers includes Oregon and Ohio State.The OHSAA cited “unsportsmanlike conduct” during the OHSAA state wrestling tournament and disciplinary action from Hoban that led to a relocation to Massillon in its determination to deny the Feister brothers eligibility for the remainder of this season.The state’s governing body also mentioned evidence that alleged multiple schools — including Canton McKinley, Sunbury Big Walnut, Wadsworth and Walsh Jesuit — had been contacted about enrolling the brothers.Matt Goul has been with cleveland.com since 2015.
