Sign in to your Android Police account If you're a Pixel owner, you know Google is always working behind the scenes to bring more features and enhancements to its devices. We love that the Pixel gets rapid updates when compared to the competition. However, updates aren't always a good thing. We've seen features break countless times over the years, and sometimes it can even make your phone unusable. So, it shouldn't come as a complete surprise that some new issue has popped up on some Pixel phones. A new day, a new problem Flip to Shhh was introduced years ago and is a game-changing gesture feature for Pixel phones. It allows users to place their phone face down and automatically enable Do Not Disturb. It's easy to understand and makes the action seamless, making it easy to enable during conversations or tense meetings. Now, imagine doing this, and the phone doesn't go into DnD mode. Android Authority found Reddit threads with users complaining that the Flip to Shhh feature no longer works as intended. It's happening across a wide range of Pixel phones, making it hard to pinpoint the exact issue. However, some people on Reddit have said that installing a Digital Wellbeing update could fix the issue. In the same thread, others also complain that the issue comes back after a few days. Again, it probably won't be solved quickly. If you're experiencing these issues on your phone and want to try a fix. It might be worth updating the Digital Wellbeing app to the latest version, resetting the app in Settings, and then seeing whether Flip to Shhh works properly. And if that doesn't fix it, you'll just need to be patient. The RCS issue is still a thing If the Flip to Shhh issue wasn't enough, we reported the other day that some users were having problems activating RCS in Google Messages. Worse, this is happening on brand-new phones. And while Samsung's name comes up a lot, this is happening on Pixels too. The silver lining is that Google is aware and is working on a solution. For now, if you're using a new phone, turn off RCS on your old phone before switching. Also, don't use any migration tools for now. Again, Google's statements suggest this may have something to do with carriers, but it's too early to tell. Just be cautious.
