8-foot rat snake found at Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat, rescued

An unusual incident was reported at Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai residence, Mannat, after a snake was spotted on the premises on August 17. According to a police source, a call was received that day about the presence of a snake at the actor’s residence in Bandra West, following which snake rescuer Vicky Dubey was called to the spot.On reaching Mannat, Dubey found an approximately 8-foot-long Dhaman, or Indian rat snake, on the premises. The non-venomous snake was safely captured and later released into its natural habitat in line with forest department guidelines.The rescue operation was carried out after the snake was reportedly seen in the lawn and courtyard area of the Bandra bungalow. Dubey also informed the Forest Department Round Officer and the Mumbai Range Office, Thane, about the incident.Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming action film King, directed by Siddharth Anand.
