75 Songs to Celebrate Spain’s World Cup Victory: Rosalía, Quevedo, Enrique Iglesias & More

This year, the coveted golden cup was claimed by Spain after defeating Argentina 1-0 in the grand finale on Sunday (July 19) at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. This is the second time the European country won the World Cup, following its reign in 2010, where they beat the Netherlands with the same score. To keep the celebration going, Billboard curated the ultimate playlist in honor of Spain’s victory. Titled “Spain’s World Cup in Music,” the list includes 75 songs and over four hours of music with some of the country’s biggest hits, such as Los Del Rio’s “Macarena”; “Aserejé” by The Ketchup; Alejandro Sanz’s “La Tortura,” in collaboration with the Queen of World Cup Music herself, Shakira; and Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailando” in collaboration with Gente de Zona and Descemer Bueno, which held the record as the longest-running No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs, with 41 weeks at the top, in 2014. The playlist also includes classic gems that have soundtracked the European country for generations, including “Y Viva España” by Manolo Escobar, and picks from Julio Iglesias, Rocio Durcal, Paco de Lucia, Joan Manuel Serrat, Raphael and Camilo Sesto, to name a few. Moreover, Billboard celebrates the Spanish national team with newer tracks that are making waves on the charts and social media. For example, “La Graciosa” by Quevedo and Elvis Crespo has not only become a fan favorite during the games, but it’s currently No. 1 on Billboard’s Spain Songs chart, based on streaming activity.
