The impact of the crash was so severe that seven people died on the spot.Following the accident, the injured were rushed to the Dhamangaon Rural Hospital for treatment. Local residents and journalists who reached the spot helped speed up the rescue operation before police arrived.Dhamangaon Railway police reached the accident site soon after receiving information about the crash and began rescue and relief efforts. Amravati Rural Superintendent of Police Niketan Kadam told Aaj Tak that 21 people were injured in the accident, apart from the five who died. He said four to five of the injured were in critical condition, while around 14 to 15 others had suffered minor injuries and were currently out of danger.SP Niketan Kadam and Dhamangaon municipal council president Archana Rothe also reached the hospital after learning about the accident and took stock of the condition of those undergoing treatment.
