(Photos: Instagram/@anvvivisheshagrawal) What if a four-year-old could put into words something many adults struggle to explain? For Anvi Vishesh Agrawal from Bhubaneswar, feelings that once seemed "bigger than a volcano" became the subject of her first book. Today, at six, she holds two Guinness World Records.Anvi is recognised as the youngest female person to publish a bilingual book and the youngest female person who delivered a TEDx talk, according to Guinness World Records. Her story began with Little Girl, Big Emotions, a book she wrote in English and Spanish to help children understand and express what they feel. She was 4 years and 254 days old at the time. And she didn't just write it. She illustrated the book too.WHEN EMOTIONS FELT LIKE A VOLCANOAnvi told Guinness World Records that her emotions sometimes felt bigger than her, describing them as a "volcano" ready to erupt. That experience led her to a simple idea: children should not feel strange or alone because of their emotions."Emotions are okay. We just need to talk about them," she said. The book was aimed at children her age, encouraging them to recognise their feelings and express them calmly rather than suppressing them. The book also found an audience quickly. According to Guinness World Records, it sold more than 1,167 copies in its first week, and Anvi went on to hold book-signing events at bookstores in India. As per the Guinness website, Avni recently visited its London headquarters and got a sneak peek of the 2027 edition, where she appears as a Young Achiever with a whole page dedicated to her.FROM AUTHOR TO TEDX SPEAKERAbout a year after earning her first record, Anvi added another. She became the youngest female TEDx speaker with a four-minute talk on 'Creativity is a Superpower', giving her two Guinness World Records while still only a young child.Writing is not her only way of expressing herself. Anvi also paints, using art to explore her imagination and process her emotions. A Times of India profile says she had created more than 72 paintings by age two, with her work later exhibited in Mumbai, Gurugram and Dubai. Her interests have also extended to sustainability. In 2021, she launched the Anvi Happiness Foundation, focused on sustainable living and eco-friendly celebrations. Her artwork has also been displayed at Dubai World Art.For a child whose first big idea came from trying to understand her own feelings, the message has remained simple: children should have the space to feel, talk and create. And when asked what holding two Guinness World Records feels like, Anvi had an answer that sounded exactly her age."It feels like eating 2 ice creams at once, amazing and sweet."- EndsPublished On: Aug 28, 2026 16:31 IST
