Police sources also claimed that posts from several Pakistan-based social media accounts were being circulated in connection with the unrest.One viral claim alleged that seven protesters had died, 391 had been injured and 250 people had been arrested. Police said such claims were false and are being examined as part of the investigation into the spread of misinformation.Investigators are now looking into whether such posts were part of an attempt to create confusion and escalate tensions during the protest.POLICE PROBE POSSIBLE CONSPIRACYDelhi Police are also investigating whether the violence was part of a broader conspiracy.
