4,970 files settled in adalat

Thulasi, Minister for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare | Photo Credit: K K Mustafah A total of 4,970 files have been disposed of in the ‘file adalat 2026’ organised by the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare department, K.A. Tulasi, Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, has said. As many as 52,759 files were pending in the department. The file adalat was organised as part of making the administration more efficient in the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development department, the Backward Classes Development department and the directorates and sub-offices under it.The first phase of the file adalat, which started from July 1, has been completed. During this period, steps were taken to accurately identify the number of files and postal mails pending in each office and each section and to dispose of them urgently. File adalats are being held in all district offices. Timely intervention will be made to dispose of pending files. The Minister also informed that instructions have been given to the officials concerned to dispose of urgent files including medical aid quickly.
