41 motorists fined, 10 vehicles towed as MMDA removes road obstructions

(Photo from MMDA) MANILA, Philippines — Over 40 motorists were issued traffic violation tickets for several offenses as the Metropolitan Development Authority (MMDA) goes on road clearing operations on Monday, July 20. It said its Special Operations Group-Task Force for Road Clearing conducted road clearing in complaint-prone areas in Quezon City and Manila. The operations were carried out along Biak na Bato, Mayon Street, Antipolo Street, Mindanao Street and Silencio Street. As a result, 41 motorists were apprehended through the no-contact apprehension policy, while 20 others were physically apprehended. One vehicle was also impounded. The areas covered by last week’s operation were Edsa southbound, Sales Road, Andrews Avenue, NAIA Road, NAIA Terminals 1, 2 and 3, Aurora Boulevard (Tramo), Domestic Road, Edsa-Malibay, Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, Macapagal Boulevard, Roxas Boulevard, and the Philippine International Convention Center. /apl Your subscription could not be saved.
