Every homeowner and DIYer likely has a decent selection of cordless power tools, myself included, and they're always the basics. A drill or driver, impact wrench, screwdrivers, saws, and things of that nature. If you're a fan of Ryobi, you know the company makes all sorts of oddball tools, including these 4 outdoor products you'll probably want to buy. Everyone knows Ryobi makes lawn mowers and leaf blowers, or even its popular pressure washers, but did you know the company also makes a power spreader for yard fertilizer and driveway salt, a pool cleaner, or a patio scrubber? Ryobi even makes a bunch of gear for camping. It's pretty wild, and here are some of my favorites. Ryobi 18V Power Spreader Yard care made easy Credit: Ryobi Anyone with a yard covered in beautiful green grass, or spotty grass they're trying to fix, is familiar with Scotts Spreaders for fertilizer, pre-emergent, and pest control. The options are usually either a somewhat expensive push spreader or a cheap plastic handheld unit you have to crank by hand as you walk around the yard. I have a better way. Ryobi makes a powerful 1-gallon power spreader that runs off the ONE+ 18V battery you already own. The idea is the same: you snap in a battery, pour in your fertilizer or driveway salt, adjust the dial for flow, pull the trigger, and get to work. It makes one of the most common outdoor jobs for yards or driveways fast and easy. I bought this for my yard but eventually upgraded it to a full-size Scotts spreader. However, I still use it for salting my driveway in the winter or smaller jobs like pest control in the garden and flower beds. Ryobi One+ 18V Power Spreader Tool Type Handheld Spreader Warranty 3 Year Limited Warranty Make quick and easy work of fertilizer, driveway salt, and more with the Ryobi power spreader. Ryobi 18V Outdoor Patio Cleaner and Sweeper Clean up those fall leaves Credit: Home Depot I hate sweeping out my garage and cleaning up my backyard patio when it gets messy. Cleaning the garage floor is one of those necessary tasks that I always procrastinate on, but then I got this oddball Ryobi patio sweeper, and it's great. I have an epoxy coating on both surfaces, and I like to keep them clean. If you want a clean garage, patio, or pool deck, this is a silly but wildly useful solution. It's nothing special, but it's another way to get the most out of the battery packs you already own, and it'll save you time. That's a win-win in my book. Ditch the broom and use this instead, plus it's a little more gentle and controllable than a leaf blower for certain situations. I use mine in the garage, on the patio, in the driveway, and even in the entryway to the house, which always seems to collect trash, leaves, and dead bugs. Ryobi ONE+ 18V Sweeper Brush Special features Extendable Tool Type Brush The Ryobi cordless 18V sweeper brush makes it easy to clean a dirty garage, patio, decking, and so much more. Ryobi Hybrid Battery-Powered 24qt. Cooler A portable iceless cooler Credit: Ryobi Another neat Ryobi product that you probably didn't know about is its battery-powered iceless cooler. This came out a few years back, was rarely in stock, and most people don't know it exists. Thankfully, we've seen it appear in stock a ton throughout 2026, so it must be gaining a bit of popularity. The Ryobi Hybrid 24qt. cooler is part of the hybrid tool line, meaning you can run it off your 18V battery packs or an extension cord. As a result, it's super versatile and a great option for backyard BBQs, camping, or anywhere you need to keep food and beverages cold without worrying about ice. This cooler has a pretty rugged design, large all-terrain wheels for rolling around camp, and Ryobi claims it'll hold 40 cans of your favorite brew. I'll probably buy one at some point, but at $499, it's a bit expensive. Ryobi 18V Pool Vacuum Remember this for pool season Credit: Ryobi I know we're a bit beyond the typical pool season, but as I mentioned at the top, Ryobi makes an 18V pool vacuum that's actually pretty decent. For starters, it has a watertight battery compartment, so don't worry about ruining those precious 18V ONE+ battery packs. While it might not be the best pool cleaner on the market, there are no hoses to deal with, although you might have to empty the collector a bit if you're dealing with a lot of dirt, sand, leaves, bugs, and other messes in your pool. There's a brush attachment for the floor and walls, an extension wand to reach most spots, and, as usual, it runs on the battery you already own. Keep in mind that Ryobi mentions the water resistance is only good to around 13ft deep, so if your pool goes beyond that, you might need to look elsewhere. For everyone else, this thing has pretty positive reviews, so give it a try next summer when you open the pool. Ryobi One+ 18V Pool Cleaner Transform your pool maintenance routine with this innovative cordless 18V Ryobi pool cleaner, designed for ultimate convenience and performance. Ryobi has you covered Most Ryobi fans are well-aware of the expansive selection of tools that run on its 18V platform. The company is constantly releasing new tools, things go on sale at your nearby Home Depot every Tuesday, and you can score neat items like this cool 5-gallon bucket-top vacuum. Ryobi makes a ton of cool products, and if you look enough, you'll find something worth buying.
