Late last year and early in 2026, Makita unveiled several excellent tools that are now available. Thankfully, the company isn't slowing down anytime soon. And while many of its items are specialty tools for specific trades, like its new pipe belt sander, almost everything below is something you'll probably want and will change how you work. And while Makita already offers this type of tool, the new 40V XGT Grease Gun kicks things up a notch. This new model features a powerful brushless motor capable of 10,000 PSI of pressure, four speed modes, including a top speed with acategory-leading flow rate of 12oz per minute. It's an ideal maintenance tool for lubricating heavy machinery, tractors, vehicles, and aftermarket suspension systems, among other applications. Think about skid steers, forklifts, and other job site machines. If you've ever used a manual hand-held grease gun, you know the struggle. With an upgraded brushless motor and 40V of power, this thing is as capable as it gets. Makita mentioned its three chain speeds, 3-mode chain adjustments, and a large oil filling port with a view window that allows the operator to easily add and check bar oil level. With a high chain speed of 5,700 FPM, it'll cut up to 25% faster than your traditional 50cc chainsaw. Grab yours later this summer for $799. Makita 40V XGT Blower and Vacuum Three tools in one Credit: Makita Almost everything announced this summer is for the bigger 40V platform, packed with tons of power and brushless motors. That also includes the new 40V max XGT Blower with Vacuum Attachment (GBU03) that works overtime as three different tools. For starters, this is an incredibly capable blower in its own right, but it'll also double as a vacuum with the included vacuum attachment, not to mention a mulch mode to make quick work of leaves and other landscape jobs. According to Makita, it can reduce up to 10 bags of leaves down to 1 bag with the shredding blade. Other features include a variable speed trigger, cruise control mode, heavy-duty straps, and more. It delivers 487 CFM (152MPH) of airflow at up to 97 dBA, weighs 10 lbs, and retails for $499. Makita 18V and 40V Magnetic Work Lights Light up any workspace Credit: Makita Last but certainly not least, Makita also announced two all-new magnetic work lights in both the 18V and 40V platforms, making it easy to match your current setup. There's a new 18V LXT DML819 light, along with the 40V XGT ML0136. Both of these new LED work lights have a magnetic base, a top hook for additional mounting options, and a foldable, rotating LED head that provides up to 180° vertical and 300° horizontal swivel for maximum usage and illumination. More importantly, there's a built-in magnet cover that easily slides on and off to deactivate the magnets when the light is not in use. I don't know 'bout you, but that sounds great for travel or storage. There are three power settings on each, ranging from 500 to 1,200 lumens. And finally, there's an auto-off mode that'll shut things down when that rotating LED head is closed, ensuring you don't drain the battery. New Makita tools that are worth the wait It's important to note that just because Makita says they've "released" all of these tools, you might not find them right away at your favorite retailer.
