3 killed, 11 hurt as truck rams bus in UP; passenger blames driver for wrong parking

The impact triggered panic and cries for help on the expressway.After local residents alerted the authorities, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Prabhat Singh, Circle Officer Ashutosh Kumar and Station House Officer Mahendra Pratap Singh reached the spot with police personnel. Police, with the help of local residents, pulled the injured passengers out of the bus and sent them to the Community Health Centre in Baldirai, where doctors are treating the seriously injured. Police sent the bodies of the three deceased passengers for post-mortem examination. The accident led to a chaotic situation at the spot for some time.Circle Officer Baldirai Ashutosh Kumar confirmed that three passengers died and 11 were injured. Passenger Ghanshyam Tiwari, a resident of Gorakhpur, said he had boarded the bus at Rajiv Chowk in Delhi. He said the passengers had eaten in Agra, where the driver was changed. He alleged that the bus was parked at an inappropriate place when the driver was being changed and a truck carrying a load hit the bus from behind.Tiwari said he was inside the bus when the collision occurred. The impact caused passengers to fall to the floor, after which they began getting out of the bus. He said he and others also came out. He added that the bus was completely full and alleged that it was overloaded.According to Tiwari, three people died in the accident. He said one person suffered fractures at three places in the leg, while another suffered a back injury.The bus passengers included Pintu Yadav and Ghanshyam Tiwari, who gave statements about the incident.Circle Officer Ashutosh Kumar said that the police team immediately reached the spot and found that the bus was travelling from Gurugram, Haryana, to Supaul, Bihar.He said 11 people travelling on the bus were injured and three people died. Police took all the injured to the Community Health Centre, where they are receiving treatment.
