Sign in to your ScreenRant account Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch a timely sci-fi movie that is one of the best cyberpunk entries on the streaming service this weekend, as well as a shocking horror film and a new star-studded romance. On last weekend's Prime Video movie recommendations, I went over the pros of watching movies like X, John Wick: Chapter 4, and Wrath of Man on the streamer. At the time of writing, the only movie among those to be trending on the streaming service is the Keanu Reeves R-rated action thriller. Right now, John Wick: Chapter 4 stands as the 10th most-watched movie on Prime Video in the United States. That said, two of the new entries on this list make company to Reeves' latest John Wick movie on the Prime Video chart. To go with the Halloween season, I decided to add a horror movie to the new Prime Video weekend recommendations. This film takes over the role Mia Goth's X had on last weekend's list. It also comes with a major star of the genre, as the horror movie that Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch stars a Twilight franchise core actor. Making company to that horror film are two movies that come from different genres. One of those is a new Prime Video original movie, a romance with a cast filled with young stars. The other is a licensed film that is incredibly timely, as it is a cyberpunk masterpiece from a franchise that is coming back soon. These are the best movies to watch on Prime Video this weekend: 3 Underwater (2020) Underwater starts the list as the only horror movie present among the options. It stars Kristen Stewart, who played Bella Swan in the Twilight franchise. As its title suggests, the horror movie follows Stewart's Norah Price in a harrowing fight for survival at the bottom of the ocean. Price is one of the workers on the Kepler 822. The drilling facility is located at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, and after what they initially believe is just an earthquake causes a lot of damage to the facility, the characters are soon faced with mysterious and frightening creatures. Underwater is currently the 9th most-watched movie on Prime Video in the United States. It is an underrated pick this Halloween season. 2 Love of Your Life (2026) The next movie on the Prime Video recommendations is Love of Your Life, which comes with a star-studded cast. Produced by Ryan Gosling, the new romantic drama stars Margaret Qualley, Lanterns' Aaron Pierre, The Night Agent's Gabriel Basso, and The White Lotus' Patrick Schwarzenegger. This is the perfect romance for young adults, with a cast that has succeeded in several streaming projects. Love of Your Life is the most-watched movie on Prime Video in the United States. Love of Your Life was released on Prime Video on October 14. The original romance follows Qualley's Maya, who navigates a complicated romantic battlefield after suffering a harrowing loss. The movie is just as much about Maya finding herself after a tragedy as it is about Qualley's character finding love again. As she travels the world looking for answers, Prime Video subscribers will be immersed in her emotional journey. 1 Blade Runner 2049 (2017) Finally, I felt that pairing the Gosling-produced Love of Your Life with a timely movie starring the actor could not be better. That is why Blade Runner 2049 ends our Prime Video list. The movie stands as one of the sci-fi genre's true masterpieces. Directed by Dune franchise visionary Denis Villeneuve, the cyberpunk film continued Ridley Scott's Blade Runner franchise with a matching 88% critics' score and audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Blade Runner 2049 came to Prime Video on October 1. The sci-fi cyberpunk movie follows Gosling as K, a replicant who works as a blade runner, aka a police officer hunting and killing rogue replicants. Blade Runner 2049 also brought back franchise star Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, with its star-studded cast including names like Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Jared Leto, and more. With Prime Video's sequel series, Blade Runner 2099, arriving on November 25, the sci-fi movie is the ideal film to end the weekend on Prime Video.
