A 25-year-old entrepreneur says he turned Rs 50,000 in savings into a Rs 4.35 crore net worth through an online agency, but now faces a new problem: his business has crashed and he is unsure what to do next.A 25-year-old entrepreneur says his online agency took him from Rs 50,000 in savings to Rs 4.35 crore, but a sharp business slowdown has left him questioning his next move. (Representative Image: Pexels)Going from Rs 50,000 in savings to Rs 4.35 crore at 25 sounds like the kind of financial success most people would dream about. But for one young Indian entrepreneur, the money has brought an unexpected problem. He no longer knows what to do next. In a post on Reddit, the 25-year-old said he built most of his wealth through an online agency business over the past 2.5 years. At its peak, the business brought in more than Rs 1 crore in a single month. Now, however, profits have fallen to around Rs 1 lakh a month, leaving him wondering whether to revive the agency, start another business, invest his savings or try trading. Screen grab from the reddit post FROM RS 50,000 TO RS 4.35 CROREThe entrepreneur said he had just Rs 50,000 in savings around 2.5 years ago. His online agency then started performing exceptionally well.Four months were particularly strong. His biggest month brought in around Rs 1.55 crore, followed by roughly Rs 80 lakh, Rs 51 lakh and Rs 40 lakh. Outside these unusually profitable months, he generally made between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 7 lakh a month. At one point, he said he had made more than Rs 4.6 crore in total. After spending some money on bikes, gadgets and buying gold for his mother, his current net worth stands at around Rs 4.35 crore.NOW, THE BUSINESS MAKES JUST RS 1 LAKHThe dramatic rise has now been followed by an equally dramatic slowdown. The entrepreneur said his business has declined significantly and currently generates only around Rs 1 lakh in net profit each month. He also admitted that he has lost interest in running it.The bigger psychological problem, he said, is that he knows what it feels like to make Rs 10 lakh or more every month. Having once made more than Rs 1 crore in a month, earning Rs 1 lakh now feels almost meaningless to him, even though he knows it is objectively a good income.SHOULD HE TRY FOREX OR GOLD TRADING?With his business struggling, the entrepreneur is considering forex and gold trading.A friend who trades forex has encouraged him to try it, while an online trader he follows regularly posts screenshots claiming profits of $10,000 to $50,000 from individual trades. He acknowledged that screenshots do not prove consistent profitability. His plan is to put only 2-3% of his net worth, or around Rs 9-13 lakh, into trading. But he is also questioning whether this is genuinely a sensible investment strategy or simply a way to recreate the excitement of his previous business success.REDDIT HAS ONE REPEATED WARNING: DON'T TRADEThe responses to his post largely pushed him away from trading.Several users advised him to revive the existing agency, invest most of his money for the long term and avoid forex. Some suggested hiring people to run the day-to-day business while he explores another venture. One commenter argued that with Rs 4.35 crore already accumulated at 25, he does not need to take unnecessary risks to build wealth. Another suggested treating the current Rs 1 lakh monthly profit as a useful income stream while figuring out why the business declined.WHAT SHOULD HE DO WITH RS 4.35 CRORE?The entrepreneur's bigger question is not really about trading. It is about what comes after an unusually fast financial rise.He asked Reddit whether he should revive the agency, build a completely new online business, trade with a small portion of his money, invest most of the Rs 4.35 crore and live off the returns, or combine several of these options. For someone who went from Rs 50,000 to crores in just a few years, the next challenge may not be making more money. It may be learning how to protect what he has already built while deciding what he actually wants to do next.- EndsPublished By: vaishnavi parasharPublished On: Aug 25, 2026 19:11 IST
