Only days after the protest, Gandhi had shown the injuries suffered by Lochab during a media briefing. Addressing the media outside the police station, Gandhi said the pellets were evidence of the firing and questioned the Delhi Police's denial that its personnel had used pellet guns."A pellet gun was used on him. The AIIMS report clearly says that there are more than 200 shells inside his body and 3 in his eye. He has lost vision in that eye. There are shells near his heart that cannot be touched," he said. "Delhi Police said they didn't fire them. There are pic.twitter.com/kH0WGVMuBa— ANI (@ANI) August 21, 2026Taking police officers by surprise, Gandhi and Lochab reached Parliament Street Police Station earlier today demanding registration of an FIR into the alleged use of pellet guns during the CJP agitation.After officers refused to register the case, Gandhi staged a dharna outside the police station and said he would not leave until an FIR was filed.Senior Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Jairam Ramesh have since joined the protest.Rahul Gandhi's dharna comes weeks after allegations that pellet guns were used during the July 20 'Sansad Chalo' protest.India Today had earlier reported exclusively that a 25-year-old protester suffered around 20 pellet injuries during the agitation.
