Texas convention Dream Con was founded by RDCWorld (Real Dreams Change the World), the video creator collective originated by Mark Phillips, and has been running since 2018. Nowadays, it brings in tens of thousands of people each year to the George R. Brown Convention Center to celebrate a huge range of entertainment forms, including gaming, anime, movies, music, and sports, with its focus on “underrepresented voices in mainstream spaces.” It also, of course, attracts some of the finest cosplayers in the South. As ever, Kotaku‘s favorite photographers, Mineralblu, were there to capture the best outfits appearing on the show floor, as well as to record a video of the event. The gallery below features some incredible prosthetics, a very creepy version of the Batman Who Laughs, and the first Frozone cosplay I’ve had the pleasure of seeing. Oh, and if you ever wondered what Spawn might look like wearing a lanyard, we have you covered.
