15 Best Memorial Day Mattress Sales, Vetted by AD (2026)

Memorial Day is upon us, but before you toast to the summer ahead, I have one request: Don’t sleep on the best Memorial Day mattress sales. Retailers are hosting sale events with markdowns on outdoor furniture and more seasonally appropriate gear, but it’s also the best time to save big on interior furniture—and most notably, the best-selling mattresses on the market. The holiday is technically on Monday, May 25, but I’ve already spotted several of the best Memorial Day mattress deals (some well over 50% off).Between spending roughly one-third of our lives in bed and the hefty price tag on most mattresses, these deals are well worth exploring. Plus, as a parent to a toddler, quality sleep has never been more important to me (or my Oura ring). That’s why I was eager to bring home the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Organic Latex Mattress last year. To make sure you’re making a wise mattress purchase, I’m only highlighting deals on beds that are tested and beloved by AD editors and contributors. Our Top Picks for the Best Memorial Day Mattress SalesBest Plush Mattress DealCasper One Foam MattressRead moreBest Premium Mattress DealSaatva Classic MattressRead moreBest Smart Mattress DealSleep Number i8 Smart BedRead moreOur Top PicksMore AD-Approved Mattress DealsBest Plush Mattress Deal: CasperTo help you snooze comfortably all summer, consider saving big on another one of our favorite mattress-in-a-box brands: Casper. I’m a firm believer that a good mattress has very little going on besides a somewhat plush top to keep you from feeling any sort of spring mechanism going on inside. I instantly slept well on this mattress I think because it’s quite simply: a great mattress.”Serta Five Star Plush Pillow Top MattressSerta Perfect Sleeper Hybrid Mattress (2023 Version)Tempur-PedicA major player in memory foam and hybrid mattresses, the company’s TEMPUR-Material was first designed by NASA to give pilots more cushioning during test flights. Cochran is a fan of the TEMPUR-Adapt collection, and gave his mattress a 10 out of 10 overall score. “On this mattress, I sleep like [a] rock—often waking up in the same position as I fell asleep in,” he says. “Interestingly, I’ve been deviating from my usual strict side-slumber, edge-of-bed position, sleeping on my back or sometimes (to my boyfriend’s frustration) on a diagonal.
