In an interview on the Chakra View podcast with Gaurav, former Chinar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Satish Dua detailed the operational sequence of the 2016 Uri terror attack and India's subsequent cross-Line of Control surgical strikes. Following the attack on an Indian Army installation in Jammu and Kashmir that resulted in the deaths of 18 soldiers, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar met senior military commanders in Srinagar to approve retaliatory strikes. Indian Special Forces infiltrated across the Line of Control through gaps between Pakistani military posts, targeting terrorist training camps, logistics dumps, and fuel installations north and south of the Pir Panjal range. General Dua stated that the operation resulted in an estimated 40 to 60 terrorist casualties.
