Homelander possesses immense strength, speed, and heat vision similar to Superman, but he's far less experienced and lacks the Man of Steel's capacity for quick improvement. While Superman needs to hold back his god-like abilities in order to avoid collateral damage and unnecessary death, Homelander is a fragile, insecure bully who slaughters heroes and innocents alike without losing sleep over it. Power-scaling misses the point when the conversation expands to include the true upper tier of comic book characters like the One Above All, the Living Tribunal, Perpetua, and the Anti-Monitor.
