On August 12, you can see partial or full solar eclipse from North America and Europe.The Northern Hemisphere is going to be treated to a solar eclipse this month. On August 12, millions will see a total or partial eclipse, including those in Europe and North America. Solar eclipse is a rare phenomenon where the moon completely blocks the sun’s face as it passes between the sun and the Earth. While in the U.S. and Canada people will witness this partially, parts of Greenland, Iceland, and Spain will see the sun fully obscured. Depending on where you are, you will have a very different experience of the same astronomical event. The U.S. and Canada will only have a partial views, while northern Europe will be gifted with a surreal display. Make sure to also keep your night free for the dazzling meteor shower that’s expected on the night of August 12-13.
